The use of the ‘over the shoulder shot’ creates tension right from the opening of the movie. Similarly, the use of a hand-held camera has allowed you to continue giving that eerie feel throughout. The pan shot between 26-29 seconds helps to keep to the horror genre of the movie. The constant cuts alongside the mounting music also adds to the eerie feel. These cuts help to add to the tension. Overall, it was an effective opening to a movie as it was able to successfully grab my attention throughout. Some areas of improvement could be the use of sound as the heartbeat was only present at the end..if the movie had opened with some heartbeat sounds it could be used as a continuous sound. Nevertheless, it was very well made with obvious hard work. Well done!

Excellent you tweaked the part that I criticed about earlier, with the young male’s reaction time to the dead female victim, after washing his face in the bathroom was too long, and didn’t look quite scary enough to earnestly portay the sense of fear in the scene, now that you edited/shortened that particular scene, the overall effect is more surreal, great effort!

For the third cut we had gained positive feedback and our audience and peers found that they coul now make sense of our opening. From the feedback gained we will eventually create our final piece.
Priorites
Today peers viewed what was suppsoed to be our semi final cut 2, due to changes the group wanted. we added a brand new scene in order to fit with time and to mkae our opening look more like a film rather than a trailer. below is some of the feedback we had gained.
+/- on new part
changes need to be taken into consideration for editor (Rahib)
Today we spent another day filming and then editing as from feedback peers though it looked like a film trailer however we are about to turn things around and carry on from the titles as we have an extra 40 seconds to play with. Jaymin and Suber shared filming and I assisted Manaz with directing – but we all had an equal say as we had to make sure each member was happy with all the scenes filmed.Today’s location was a sixth form block and a park. The sixth form block in our school is brand new fitted with lifts, when the lights were turned off it had a very isolated feel to we filmed a pan shot across and we got to the elevator were Rahib leaves the lift and Manaz is behind him lying on the floor unconscious or dead? There is then a follow shot of Rahibs hand leaving in the park with mud all over in between these scenes. What is his motive and what has he done with the body? …these are just some of the questions ready to get audiences want to watch more!
Editing was quite simple as it was just continued from our semi final cut – however we did discuss weather or not to have a soundtrack playing at these scenes and weather to have these scenes in colour or black and white.
The final cut will be uploaded vey soon
